$1.41 BILLION IN HOMELESS GRANTS FOR RENEWAL PROJECTS
U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Shaun Donovan today awarded $1.41 billion in funding to keep nearly 7,000 local homeless assistance programs offering critically needed housing and services to homeless persons and families in the coming year.
The grants announced today are being awarded through HUD’s Continuum of Care programs. HUD is quickly providing renewal grants to local programs to prevent any interruption in federal assistance and will announce funding for new projects in Spring 2011.
